You are welcome to use the bartending service of your choice provided that they are properly licensed, trained and insured. Self-served bars are not permitted. Bartenders who have not worked at the house in the past 3 years are required to meet with the house manager prior to the function.

Dear Bartenders:

The Pierce House is looking forward to working with you. In order to avoid potential misunderstandings, we want to review house policies. We assume this information will be made clear to the person(s) working at the house. It is our understanding that you will be performing at the following function:

Bartending Services must provide the following:

A minimum of $1,000,000 General Liability, $1,000,000 Liquor Liability and workman's compensation.. The Town of Lincoln must be listed as additional insured.

A copy of a current business license is required.

A deposit of $100. Checks should be payable to the Town of Lincoln. Deposits will be returned within 7 days assuming a satisfactory review by the function coordinator. Cleaning rates, if necessary, are $50/hour and will be deducted from the deposit. Missing or broken items will be billed at replacement prices. Bartenders who anticipate frequent occasions at the house are encouraged to leave deposit checks on file.

 

 

 

A signed acknowledgement that rules and regulations have been read and that all responsibilities will be met.

Bartenders are expected to bring their own auxiliary equipment such as tables, table covers, extension cords etc. If you need help with such items, your client can make arrangements through the caterer.

Alcohol & Bar Policy

  1. All alcoholic beverages must be poured by a Tips certified and insured bartender. Bottles of wine must be poured by waitstaff. They may not be left unattended on tables.
  2. No one under the age of 21, may be served alcohol1 nor consume any alcohol on the premises.
  3. Since the Town of Lincoln is dry, cash bars are not permitted.
  4. The Pierce House management reserves the right to refuse service to any intoxicated individual and in extreme cases shut down the bar.
  5. The Pierce House recommends, but does not require, that bars close 112 hr. prior to the end of the party.
  6. If you anticipate problems, we suggest that: 1) you discuss your concerns with the caterer, 2) arrange for police detail for entire party, and 3) provide transportation for guests.
  7. Unopened liquor may be stored at The Pierce House before and/or after the function for pickup by liquor company. All such Liquor shall be stored in locked basement. The Pierce House will take every precaution to safeguard the liquor but can not accept responsibility in the event of any problems.
  8. Open liquor will be only given to the previously designated person.

Breakdown and Cleanup

  1. Bartenders must leave their area in the same condition they found it; i.e. all garbage must be removed and the area picked up. The floor or porch must be swept and mopped. All trash may go in the dumpster, located in the rear parking lot.
  2. Liquor to be left at the house for pickup, needs to go to the basement for storage. Please see Manager for details.
  3. All Pierce House furniture, rugs and pads, chairs, tables, piano,etc. must be returned to their original location.
  4. All glassware, paper, cigarette butts, and debris must be picked up from the grounds as well as the interior of the house. Particular attention should be paid to the bar area. (bottle caps, citric wedges etc.) Surplus ice may be dumped into bushes.
  5. Bartenders must have a final check out/walk through with the manager before departure. Any action by bartenders resulting in expense, breakage, spillage, failure to clean properly, will affect the deposit and in extreme cases the right to work at the house.
 

Parking
All service personnel should park, after unloading, in the rear parking lot. For large parties, it may be necessary to park @ Town Hall.
