You
are welcome to use the caterer of your choice provided that they are properly licensed and
insured. Self catering or self-served bars are not permitted. Caterers who have
not catered at the house in the past 3 years are required to meet with the house manager
prior to the function.
Caterers must provide the following:
All caterers must carry a minimum of $1,000,000 General Liability , $1,000,000 Liquor
Liability and workman's compensation.These same requirements apply to bartending services. The Town of Lincoln must be listed as additional insured.
A copy of a current Common Victualer's license is required.
A Caterer deposit of $100. Checks should be payable to the Town of Lincoln. Deposits
will be returned within 7 days assuming a satisfactory review by the function coordinator.
Cleaning rates, if necessary, are $50/hour and will be deducted from the deposit. Missing
or broken items will be billed at replacement prices. Caterers who anticipate frequent
occasions at the house are encouraged to leave deposit checks on file.
A signed acknowledgement that rules and regulations have been read and that all
responsibilities will be met |
CATERERS

Facilities available for use include:
*4 burner commercial gas stove with warming grill *Double door reach-in refrigerator
*Broom, mop, and bucket
oven with 2 racks (will fit sheet pans) door reach-in freezer *Use of trash dumpster *1
Buffet dining table 40 x 82" *1 24" x 48" table *1 20" x 36"
table *2 20 x 30" table *1 Library desk 36' x 60" (often used for gifts)
Breakdown and Cleanup
- Caterers must leave the kitchen in the same condition they found it, i.e. all food,
dishes, and garbage must be removed from the kitchen area. The floor must be swept and
mopped. Counters, stove, oven and refrigerators must be wiped down. The caterers bathroom
should be wiped down and trash emptied. All trash may go in the dumpster, located in the
rear parking lot.
- Rental may be left on either porch,cobblestone, or driveway. (consult manager). All
rental must be scraped or rinsed Rental may not be left on the lawn. If catering tents are
used, they must be left empty. The Astroturf should be rolled up.
- All Pierce House furniture, rugs and pads, chairs, tables, piano,etc. must be returned
to their original location
- All glassware, paper, cigarette butts, and debris must be picked up from the grounds as
well as the interior of the house Particular attention should be paid to the bar area.
(bottle caps, citric wedges etc.) Surplus ice should be place a ?n freeze for future use
- Caterers must have a final check out walk through with the manager before departure. Any
action by caterers resulting in expense, breakage, spillage, failure to clean properly,
will affect caterers deposit and in extreme cases the right to cater at the house.

Parking
All service personnel should park, after unloading, in the rear parking lot. For large
parties, it may be necessary to park @ Town Hall.
Phones
There is a public pay phone on the 2nd floor. Incoming calls may be received in the
kitchen at (781) 259-9868.
Deliveries
Arrangements of rental delivery and pickup as well as set up and breakdown of all rental
equipment is the sole responsibility of the caterer. The caterer shall coordinate with the
house manager all other deliveries such as tents, liquor. linens etc.
Candles
Only dripless candles are to be used along with sturdy and unbreakable candle holders with
glass covers.
Fireplaces
Prior arrangement with house manager is necessary.
Restrooms
The restroom on the first floor, adjacent to the kitchen, is available to service people
as well as disabled and elderly guests. The back pantry area should remain free from
obstacles. |
