Because of the historic nature of the house, all decorations must be free standing.
Taping1gluing,stapling, or tacking of any material is not allowed. Rose petals,
-confetti,- tinse~ birdseed etc. are not permitted. With prior approval after a review of
plans, the tying and draping of any material may be allowed. Only hurricane globes or
votive candles may be used. Open flames are not allowed. Candles should be dripless.
Arrangements placed on our furniture must have a protective liner underneath.
Florists are expected to deliver (driving on lawn is forbidden and each infraction will
result in a $50 charge) and set up after the house opens for the caterer's arrival. That
time is indicated below. Usually two hours is available before guests arrive. If extra
time is needed, this should be arranged with client a n d house manager in advance. Please
call the Function office during morning business hours.
It is imperative that all breakdown and retrieval of goods happen at the end of the
function. All items to be retrieved will be left on outside porch. Any exceptions must be
arranged in advance with the house manager. The Pierce House is not responsible for any
items left at the end of the function. The Pierce House Cleaners will gladly dispose of
any unwanted flowers or floral materials left inside the house. It is the responsibility
of the Florist to arrange for any necessary breakdown outside. Pierce House personnel are
available at the rate of $30/hr. Please arrange with Manager @ least 2 weeks prior to
