PAYMENT
Half of the total payment is due with the application. The second half is due six months prior to your event. The check should be made payable to the Town of Lincoln. We now accept Mastercard & Visa. The security deposit will be returned after the event provided:
1. All regulations for use of the house have been observed.
2. The 8 hour time limit has not been exceeded.
3. There has been no damage to the Pierce House or grounds.
CANCELLATION NOTICES MUST BE IN WRITING
All cancellations will be assessed a $100 administrative fee. Additionally: Full refund, minus fee, prior to twelve months before scheduled date. Half refund of total rental price prior to six months before scheduled event. No refund within six months of scheduled date.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
1. Contact resident manager one week prior to your function to verify all final details.
2. The Pierce House is rented for an eight hour time period. This includes your caterer and service persons set-up (generally 2 hrs) and clean up time.
3. Amplified equipment is permitted for music. One voice microphone is allowed. Music must cease promptly at 11 P.M. (9 P.M. for Sunday-Thursday evenings) if the music is outdoors. Exceptions are granted for Sundays before a Monday holiday. The house should be vacated by midnight.
4. The maximum number of people that can be accommodated outdoors is 175-200. Sit down indoor functions should be no more than 100 with 75-90 the recommended number. Indoor cocktail receptions allow for

125-130. The Pierce House does not accommodate large sit down meals unless a tent is added to the front of the house. (Tents are supplied by your rental company.)
5. At least one Police Officer must be present at all functions of 100 people or more. Police telephone is (781) 259-8112.
6. Maximum precautions shall be taken to avoid fire hazards such as fireproofing of decorations and evergreens, use if screens on fireplaces, adequate ashtrays etc., Candles require candle holders that will protect Pierce House from fire and wax spills. Only dripless candles are to be used.
7. Nails or tape must not be used on walls or woodwork.
8. The throwing of rice, birdseed, confetti, tinsel, or petals etc. is strictly prohibited.
9. The House is non-smoking 10. You may use the Caterer of your choice as long as they are licensed and insured.
11. You may use other vendors of your choice as well. For vendors not on our preferred lists, (Vendors who have worked here and demonstrated appropriate responsibility) an additional security deposit may be required.
12. The customer is responsible for the actions of all the vendors engaged on your behalf.
13. Caterers and/or rental parties must leave the kitchen in the same condition they found it. All food dishes and trash must be removed from the kitchen and bathroom areas. A dumpster is available.
14. All catering and rental equipment must be removed or stored immediately following the function. (contact the house manager for storage information) All Pierce House furniture, rugs, and folding chairs must be returned to their original location At the conclusion of clean-up, caterers/rental party must have the house manager do a final check-out.
ANY INFRACTIONS OF THE ABOVE REGULATIONS will RESULT IN LOSS OF DEPOSIT. LIABILITY TO PERSONS AND PROPERTY
1. Any approved applicant agrees to assume liability for any and all personal injury or property damage resulting directly or indirectly from the applicant's use of the premises. The approved applicant further agrees to hold the town and its Committee, agents, and employees harmless from any and all liability, claims or assessments arising out of the applicant's use of the premises. |

2. The Town assumes no responsibility and expressly disclaims any liability or responsibility for damage to personal property belonging to the applicant, guests, or employees in or on the premises, for injury to persons invited to the premises or employed by the applicant for any purpose whatsoever.
3. The applicant shall agree to be responsible for, and reimburse the Town for any loss or damage to the building, its contents, equipment or grounds by the applicant, guests, employees or servants.
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF STATE LAWS
Criminal penalties are provided by Statue (General Laws, Chapter 143) for violation of State Laws relating to public safety in buildings. Exceptions to these laws may not be made.
LICENSES
Applicants shall be responsible for obtaining local and state licenses and permits necessary for the proposed use of the building.
